Vinayaka Chaturthi : Lord Ganesha : Indian God : Devotional Music

Ganesha is known as the god of wisdom, literature and worldly success and is revered as the remover of obstacles.
Kanipaka Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swami Darshanam - Part1
Kanipaka Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swami Darshanam - Part2
Story behind "Lord of Obstacles" title to Lord Ganesha:
Lord Shiva, the Hindu God of death and destruction was away at a war. His wife Pavarti, who was a goddess in her own right, wished to bathe. Having no-one to guard the door to her apartments she conceived of the idea of giving birth to a son who could provide this service for her. Thus Ganesh was created, since goddesses have the power to do such things.
Sharanam Prapadye - Ganesha Bhajan by Sonu Nigam
Pavarti gave Ganesh instructions that he was to stand guard at the entrance of her house and that he was to admit no-one until she gave word that it was OK to do so. Ganesh took up his post and undertook his assignment enthusiastically.

In due course the Lord Shiva returned from his war and went to enter his house. Ganesh, according to his instructions, forbade him entry. Shiva was enraged by Ganesh’s impudence and drew his sword and cut off Ganesh’s head.
Ganesh Mantra by Sonu Nigam
Pavarti emerged to find Ganesh decapitated and flew into a rage. Even though he was immensely powerful Shiva was upset with Pavarti’s rage. He swore to make amends by taking the head of the first living thing he found to replace Ganesh’s head. The first animal he came across was an elephant. Accordingly he took the head from the elephant an placed it on Ganesh’s body.
Mahaganesha by Sonu Nigam
Thus Ganesh is depicted with an elephant’s head. Because of his role as protector of Parvarti’s door he is associated, in Hindu culture, with protecting entrances.

Om Namo Siva Rudraya Song : Kaleja Movie : Indian Telugu Music

The Song is about Lord Shiva: With Simply Superb Music:
Shiva is the god of the yogis, self-controlled and celibate, while at the same time a lover of Shakti. Lord Shiva is the destroyer of the world, following Brahma the creator and Vishnu the preserver, after which Brahma again creates the world and so on. Shiva is responsible for change both in the form of death and destruction and in the positive sense of destroying the ego, the false identification with the form. This also includes the shedding of old habits and attachments.

All that has a beginning by necessity must have an end. In destruction, truly nothing is destroyed but the illusion of individuality. Thus the power of destruction associated with Lord Shiva has great purifying power, both on a more personal level when problems make us see reality more clearly, as on a more universal level. Destruction opens the path for a new creation of the universe, a new opportunity for the beauty and drama of universal illusion to unfold. As Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram or Truth, Goodness and Beauty, Shiva represents the most essential goodness.

The Song is from Khaleja movie and is a 2010 action comedy Telugu film starring Mahesh Babu and Anushka Shetty directed by Trivikram Srinivas. It is the second collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Trivikram. Singanamala Ramesh and C Kalyan produced the film as a Kanaka Ratna Movies production.

Mahesh Babu plays the role of a cab driver in the film, while Prakash Raj plays a negative role. Sunil and Brahmanandam play key roles. The film was released on 7 October 2010. It won two Filmfare South awards under the categories of Best Male Playback Singer and Best Lyricist. The film was dubbed in Tamil as Badhra and in Hindi as Jigar Kaleja and Bangla as "Akaye Akso".

Gaalipata : Indian Kannada Music

Gaalipata is a 2008 Kannada film directed by Yograj Bhat. The film was largely comprised of the Mungaaru Male team, especially among the actors. It released in Karnataka in mid-January, and it retained it's spot as one of the big hits of 2008.

The plot of Gaalipata follows three friends Ganesh/Gani (Ganesh), Digant/Digi (Digant) and Kitty (Rajesh Krishnan). One fine night the three decide they've had enough of living in Bangalore and go on a holiday to Digi's grandfather's estate in Mugilupete. They meet interesting characters straight away - beginning with a manservant of Digi's grandpa (Dayal), who Gani calls Dracula, grandpa's friend Kodanda (Anant Nag), a great hunter of his time. He's been relegated to the wheelchair since his accident when trying to hunt a wild boar. He lives with his wife Padma (Padmaja Rao) and three daughters - Sowmya (Daisy Bopanna), who teaches Kannada to kids, the agriculturist Radha (Neetu) and the childish and bubbly Pavani (Bhavana Rao).
Kodanda, who takes a liking to the guys instantly, tells them of his life's ambition - to hunt the boar that caused his accident. Gani, who wants to eat the boar's tail, hatches a scheme to hunt the boar without Kodanda's wife realizing any of it. They execute the plan well enough, however the boar gets the better of them. And the return to the estate doesn't work well either, Padma finds out they have been hunting and severely criticizes them for it. In the mean time, Gani is attracted to the silent Sowmya. He finds out that she's really Kodanda's daughter-in-law and a widow since her husband of four hours drowned in a nearby waterfall trying to rescue a child. To try and impress her, he enrolls himself in her Kannada class. Pavani, is attracted to the other silent person Kitty and tries to find out more about him from Gani. And Digant and Radha share a love-hate relationship.

The wild boar is still on everyone's mind and all of them head out once more to hunt it, planning it slightly better this time. But when it's time to shoot the boar, Kodanda shoots Digant instead. Digant is unharmed but for a slight wound - and Radha is chosen to be his nurse for a while. Digant likes Radha and though he gets ample support from Gani in the form of useless advice, he is scared to tell her. Kitty and Pavani become a pair. After seeing them together and armed with more useless advice from Gani, Digant finally works up the courage to tell Radha that he likes her. Radha admits that she too likes him, but she's engaged to another man. Gani helps them out by brokering their engagement with Kodanda. The men go out to hunt the boar once more, this time they are more successful, the boar is cornered. But Kodanda doesn't shoot it, and he stands on his feet for the first time since his accident. He declares that the boar has taught him a lesson and he will never shoot an animal again.

Gani plays love guru to the other two pairs, but is unable to tell Sowmya about his feelings for her. He writes that he likes her on a gaalipata, which he hopes she will read, but the thread holding it cuts and it flies away before she can read it. He writes her a poem next, but never gives it to her. In the mean time, Pavani finds out about Kitty's failed love affair and is unhappy that he didn't tell her. Kitty, who is close to Sowmya, asks for her help. Sowmya convinces Pavani that Kitty is true to her, and Pavani agrees to give Kitty another chance. Pavani also lets her parents know about her and Kitty, and Kodanda agrees to the match. Gani is depressed that his love story is going nowhere, and tells Dracula about it. Dracula finds the gaalipata and gives it to Sowmya. Sowmya reads it, and when Gani proposes to her, she refuses. Gani is suicidal at this point, and Digant and Kitty ask Gani's parents (Rangayana Raghu and Sudha Belawadi) to intervene.

Gani's parents try their best to convince Sowmya, but to no avail. She later takes up a job opportunity at Switzerland, and decides to leave. Gani also decides to leave Mugilupete. They agree to be civil to each other and leave together. Gani wants to bid a farewell to the kids he's studied with, Sowmya wants to do the same. They need to cross the river to get to the kids. While in the raft, Gani pours out his feelings one last time. Sowmya who truly likes Gani, but so far has pushed it away, says that she likes him too. The raft they are travelling in runs into rapids because Gani has been careless, and it overturns. Gani saves Sowmya from drowning, but threatens to push her into the waterfall if she says she won't marry him. Sowmya says she won't, and the film has a happy ending.

Moonu (Three) : Indian Tamil Music

Aishwarya Dhanush‘s 3 is an intense-romantic drama, which is youthful at core. It can also be termed as an urban-centric film that chronicles a couple’s three stages of being-in-love. The debutant director has etched a story with limited characters keeping the new-age sensibilities in mind. She has also ensured to deliver what the modern-day men love to see on-screen.
Po Nee Po

The movie 3 begins on a death note and instantly tells the audience that the movie is not all about regular affair, and there is something serious about it. Within a couple of minutes, a flashback takes us to a lively atmosphere, where Ram (Dhanush) is seen dressing up to go to college. On the rainy day, he leaves the house on his bike and sees a girl named janani (shruti hassan) repairing her cycle in the middle of the traffic. It does not take much-time for him to fall in love, which makes to do the things what every boy does in the initial stage.
Kolaveri D

In no time, their love blossoms and after facing some minor hurdles, Ram-Janani ties the knot. The first half of 3 goes like a usual love story, yet giving hints that the story will takes a serious turn in the next half. In the second half, the tale takes a shocking twist, where it is revealed that Ram is suffering from Bipolar Disorder, a psychological disease. Then, its subject focuses on his struggling to come out of the sufferings. The remaining part is advised to watch on-screen.

Tulu Nada Wedding : Instrumental : Indian Music

Tulu Nada Marriage

Marriage is one of the conspicuous celebrations for any community. Marriage brings together two different souls to unite and be the better half of each other. However, it not just connects two people but also ties the knots between their families and relatives.
Marriages in Bunts Sangha community are immensely vibrant, colorful and bright with different customs and traditions; it’s like a small festival for the Bunts.

It all starts with a small meeting called as ponnu thoopune between both the families along with the boy and girl. Once they accept each other they move ahead with Kundli or jathaka matching custom. Marriage is all about compatibility, connectivity and adjustment between each other and the families; and once these are found to be positive the dowry or token dowry is fixed between the families.
All these informal meetings are done by the males of both the families. And finally when the formal meeting day arrives the boy gets invited to the girl’s house for a sammana meal along with his father, grandfather and brother. Further, they move a step ahead and decide the marriage date, venue and the date for dowry payment.

Engagement is the base of any marriage and in Bunts community the boy and girl exchange veelya, also a part of dowry can be given during this function.
Few days like Ugadi, Anatha chathurdashi, vijaya dashami, Abhijin muhurtha(noon time) and godhuli lagna (evening) are considered to be the auspicious days for wedding. Moreover many Bunts consider that Thursdays and Fridays are more propitious over Tuesdays.
The grand day for the bride and groom finally turn up and the dompa andmantapa, where the weeding will take place, is decorated pleasantly with banana plants, flowers, and mango leaves. When dibbana arrives at the weeding venue the other family welcomes them with flowers, kumkuma, akshathe, kurdi neer, and panneeru. After dibbana the bride and groom take a ceremonial bath with the aromatic turmeric water.
Now the beautiful bride in sari and charming groom in kacche/shetty-kacche are all ready for marriage. As the bride and groom come in thedompa they exchange the garlands.
Dharegindi(a round silver vessel) is filled with water and tulasi leaves. The mouth of the gindi is covered with jackfruit leaves, mango leaves, and a coconut. The maternal uncle and the parents of the bride take thedharegindi to the assembled elders for their blessing. In this ritual, the bride’s hand is placed over the groom’s hand. The dhare water is poured over their hands three times by the maternal uncle of the bride. A plate is held below their hands to collect the water. The groom and the bride are now the wedded husband and wife. Following this, the groom ties thekarimani to the bride.
A homa is performed by a priest in the mantapa. The bride walks seven steps with the groom (saptapadi). This is then followed by someother small and important customs like aarathi, singing songs, putting akshateon on the couple, dompa-jappunebonda ceremony and lastly giving money and gifts to the couple.

Finally the moment of kuruntu popune arrives when the bride leaves with her newly wedded husband to enjoy the awaiting exquisite better half of her life.

The Bhagavad Gita : Indian Fifth Veda : Devotional

The Bhagavad-Gita is considered by eastern and western scholars alike to be Fifth Veda among the greatest spiritual books the world has ever known. In a very clear and wonderful way the Supreme Lord Krishna describes the science of self-realization and the exact process by which a human being can establish their eternal relationship with God. In terms of pure, spiritual knowledge the Bhagavad- Gita is incomparable. Its intrinsic beauty is that its knowledge applies to all human beings and does not postulate any sectarian idealogy or secular view. It is appproachable from the sanctified realms of all religions and is glorified as the epitome of all spiritual teachings. This is because proficiency in the Bhagavad-Gita reveals the eternal principles which are fundamental and essential for spiritual life from all perspectives and allows one to perfectly understand the esoteric truths hidden within all religious scriptures.

Ghantasala could captivate his listeners of the 'Bhagavad Gita' through his own style and that of the inherent divine force of the classic.
Divine Voice of Ghantasala : Listen to believe

Many great thinkers from our times such as Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi and Albert Schweizer as well as Madhvacarya, Sankara and Ramanuja from bygone ages have all contemplated and deliberarted upon its timeless message. The primary purpose of the Bhagavad- Gita is to illuminate for all of humanity the realization of the true nature of divinity; for the highest spiritual conception and the greatest material perfection is to attain love of God! Frequently Asked Questions about Bhagavad-Gita

Playback singer 'Padmasri' Late Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao breathed life into his rendition of the Bhagavad-Gita and left it adorned as a spiritual treat. His endeavour in bringing the essence of the Gita unto the lay and the learned on the wings of poesy in a mellifluous musical strain left an everlasting imprint on the minds of generations of its listeners.
