Rangam : Harris Jayaraj Musical

Rangam – Telugu Movie 2011.
KV Anand worked as a photo journalist for some time before entering the film industry. Keeping his experience in mind, he penned a subject, adding some commercial values to it. He has dusted the old story, which he penned long ago and has moulded on the celluloid. Rangam, a dubbed version of Tamil movie Ko, is based on some real life incidents with politics and extremism in the backdrop. Read and Watch on for Rangam music.
Enduko Emo : Don’t know why
Story:
Aswathama (Jeeva) is basically a photo-journalist. He captures the photographs of burglars, who loot a bank and that helps the police to nab the culprits in very less time. When he was a student, Aswat had a friend called Vasant (Ajmal) and a group of others. Vasant was of the opinion that young blood should enter politics to clean the politics. He launches a party called Navataram and plans to contest the elections. Aswat plans to promote him indirectly and hence exposes the chief minister (Prakash Raj) and the opposition leader (Kota Srinivasa Rao), with the help of his co-journalist Renuka (Karthika). Karthika loses her heart to Aswat. Another colleague called Saru (Piaa Bajpai) also loves him, but Aswat throws weight on Renuka.
Once, while Vasant is addressing a public meeting, Aswat gets an SMS from Saru that there is a bomb beneath the dais. Aswat wants to save Vasant and pulls him down. During the blast, several college friends of Aswat who joined hands with Vasant die. In the same blast Saru also breathes her last. The rest of the story forms the stunning part of the climax.
E Manchullo : In this Snow

Performance:
Jeeva is impressive as a photo journalist and he has done his job extremely well. He has carried the entire film on his firm shoulders. Karthika, who failed as heroine in her debut Telugu film Josh, opposite Naga Chaitanya, has proved that she can perform extremely well if the characterisation is good. Piaa Bajpai, who played another heroine in the film has done her character with ease as a mischievous girl. In fact, she left an indelible impression in the minds of the audiences with her sacrifice. Kota Srinivasa Rao and Prakash Raj are at their usual best. Ajmal has too has done justice to his role.
 Nemali Kulukula : Peacock Steps
Technical:
Richard M Nathan"s cinematography is the highlight of the film. He has maintained perfect lighting and has captured the action scenes perfectly. All the songs in the film are melodious with impressive background music. Editing by Anthony is acceptable, however, he should have shortened some boring scenes in the first half. The screenplay is very tight and though the director has lost grip for some time in the first half, the twists and tight screenplay in the second half arrests the audiences to their seats till the end.
Remarks:
Watch the film for Jeeva and Karthika"s performance and impressive narration of the subject.
Cast :
Jeeva, Ajmal, Karthika, Piaa Bajpai, Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sona and others

Sindhu Bhairavi : Tamil Block Buster 1985

Sindhu Bhairavi is a 1985 Indian Tamil language drama film directed and produced by K. Balachander starring Sivakumar, Suhasini, Sulakshana, Delhi Ganesh and Janagaraj.[1] The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The songs in the film were sung by K. J. Yesudas and K. S. Chithra. The film won three national awards in 1986 for Best Actress, Best Music Direction and Best Female Playback Singer.
Hero trying to forget the woman who has slowly entered into his heart.
The plot of the film revolves around the three lead characters J. K. Balaganapathi (JKB), Sindhamani aka Sindhu and Bhairavi. A Carnatic singer (JKB) at the peak of his career loses his credibility as he gets addicted to alcohol due to the loss of an intimate companion (Sindhu). Bhairavi (JKB's wife) tries to help him get rid of the addiction and fails. As a last resort she requests Sindhu's help and succeeds. The status of relationship between the three after his makeover is the climax of the film.
This film has a sequel teleserial named Sahana produced by K. Balachander. The film ended with Sindhu leaving her son with JKB and Bhairavi. The serial Sahana (Sindhu Bhairavi 2) starts 19 years later. Sindhu's son Surya is now 19 years old. Bhairavi has given birth to a daughter, but they have no clue where Sindhu is.

JKB (Sivakumar) is a gifted carnatic musician but his wife Bhairavi (Sulakshana), despite her love and loyalty, fails to satisfy or challenge him intellectually. For JKB, this, and her inability to have children, is a problem. Gajapathi (Janagaraj) works for JKB as a Tambura musician, and he is a compulsive liar. The film starts with an introduction of all characters of the film followed by JKB going to a concert where he finds Gurumoorthy (Delhi Ganesh), who works for JKB as a Mridangam musician, drunk. He instructs Gurumoorthy to leave the premises and performs in the concert without the use of Mridangam which is considered a basic/compulsory instrument to perform a carnatic concert.

When Gurumoorthy is asked to permanently leave the band, he promises not to drink again. While Bhairavi's grandfather is going to receive his pension, which he does on the first of every month, Gajapathi lies to him that his pension has been cancelled. The old man starts crying and JKB intervenes to confirm that his pension is not canceled and that he can go and collect it. JKB then scolds Gajapathi for it and tells him the old man could have died on hearing such a lies, as he is very particular about his pension. Following this, when JKB finds out that Gajapathi has lied to him too and others causing problems he asks him to promise to speak the truth.

Sindhu (Suhasini), working as a music teacher in a school, attends one of the concerts of JKB, where he is performing a Tyagaraja keerthanam which is in Telugu Language and she finds some the audience speaking to each other instead of listening to the music. Hence, she asks JKB to translate the song he is singing into Tamil, which everybody in the audience can understand. He then gets angry and challenges her to demonstrate. She successfully demonstrates it and is applauded by the audience. In a few days, Sindhu apologizes to JKB and he finds out that she is an intellectual equal and admires her knowledge of music. However, in a small town in South India, in the 80s, this intellectual attraction is misunderstood based on the cultural limitations of that age. Gajapathi, who has promised not to lie, informs Bhairavi that her husband is going out with Sindhu.

Meanwhile, Sindhu really has fallen for JKB and both of them get intimate with each other. One day, JKB is caught coming out of Sindhu's apartment by Bhairavi. Sindhu is seen as the home wrecker and is forced to quit her association with JKB. He pines for her and leans on alcohol for support, which sadly leads to his downward spiral ending in an embarrassing barter of his musical knowledge for a drink. He even steals money from Bhairavi's grandfather, which leads to his death. Sindhu reenters his life and brings him around, however she has a secret of her own, the secret of her pregnancy. After Sindhu brings back JKB from his alcoholic state, JKB's friends pressurize Sindhu to leave the town and to never come back, which she does the very next day. Both Bhairavi and JKB are distraught as Bhairavi had agreed to marry Sindhu to JKB.
A couple of months later, during one of JKB's concerts, Sindhu is seen coming back and sitting down to listen to his music. However, she refuses to marry JKB saying that she wouldn't deny Bhairavi her rights. Instead she leaves them with a "present"; Sindhu gives up her child to be brought up by Bhairavi in a classic act of defiance to society's rules and leaves town to pursue and share her knowledge of music with the less fortunate.

Sirivennela - Block Buster - Telugu Movie

Movie Directed by K Viswanath. The movie revolves around Pandit Hari Prasad, a blind flutist (played by Sarvadaman Banerjee), and a painter (Suhasini) who is mute.
One of the most beautiful song I ever heard:
Hari Prasad lives with his only sister in a village which is also a minor tourist attraction. He makes a living by playing flute and entertaining the tourists. His life changes dramatically once Jyothirmayi (Moon Moon Sen) comes there and hears his musical talent. She helps him reach high standards in classical music.Years pass by and Hari Prasad becomes one of the greatest flutists in India; he develops; a great love towards Jyothirmayi for whom he dedicates all his albums.
Ee gali Ee Nela : This Air, This land, This village
Sirivennela (one of the most celebrated musical masterpieces in Telugu) abounds in classical music composed by K. V. Mahadevan with flute renditions by the renowned flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia. The movie saw the debut of Sirivennela Sitaramasastri as a lyricist, who wrote all of the songs.
Adibhikshuvu Vadinedi Koredhi : What Shall I ask the Initial beggar : The Lord Shiva
Because of "the wonderful songs," rich in meaning, he penned for the movie, Sitarama Sastry has taken the name Sirivennela as a prefix to his own name. Each of the songs is remembered to this day as a part of landmark Telugu film music.
Another beauty with flute: Chandamama Raave
A particular highlight of the movie is the song "Vidhata Thalapuna," sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and P. Susheela. The song is about Aum, the most sacred syllable in Hinduism, from which the Veda traditions originated. Other notable songs include "Adibhikshuvu Vadinedi Koredhi" and "Ee gali Ee Nela."

Life is beautiful - Telugu Songs - Juke Box

Shekar Kammula is back with a bang.  Life Is Beautiful should have been released long back, but a search for talented newcomers went on and on.  Once he spotted them, there was no looking back.  That he is a dab hand when it comes to unspooling the most delicate emotions in a classy manner was clear when he made that stunningly beautiful film, Godavari.
The drama lived on, only to be brought to the college campus, in Happy Days.  The theatre of action shifts in LIB to Colony life.  There are lovable pairs in this much-awaited entertainer.  There is Mickey J Meyer.  There is Kammula's pen (dialogues).
As he has said, the movie is all about affections, friendships, and so on.  Life becomes splendid when people live the emotion of solidarity and cherish the enthusiasm of everydayness, a life lived collectively.  How the director unveils this idea in the movie will be watched out for.
LIB will surely have throw up these elements: Neat narrative, fine performances, compellingly sweet dialogues, good art work, soothing music/BG.
